J. Matthew Shamblin, Senior Pastor

Matt is a native of West Virginia. He is married to Chrissy Shamblin.  He has served churches in both Virginia and West Virginia. He is a graduate of Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science. He is also graduated from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Religion, a Master of Divinity, and a Master of Sacred Theology.

 Bob Winter, Praise Team Leader
Bob is a long-time member of NCBC who has served faithfully in various capacities. He has led the praise and worship since 1998, and helped transition the church to the use of a live band and praise team. He graduated from West Virginia State University with a B. S. degree in Business, and teaches part-time at the school. Bob is an avid golfer, playing as often as he is able. He is married to Karen, and they have two grown daughters and five grandsons.
 Jason and Heather Haynes, Youth Leaders
Jason and Heather lead the youth ministry at NCBC, a role which they took over in 2004. They have been members since 2000 and are both involved in many ways. They are both Charleston natives, and work locally. They both are passionate about the youth in our community, striving to introduce as many as possible to Christ. They both love softball, and are the parents of twins Jason Jr. and Kayla.
 
Donna Short, Church Secretary
Donna has been the secretary at NCBC since 1986. She has served in countless ministries at the church, often going above and beyond because of her love for Jesus. She enjoys cooking, walking, and her grandchildren. Donna and her husband Gary have five grown sons and fourteen grandchildren, all living within ten miles of their home.
